Sports Specific Programs

In addition to Therex Rehab, the authors of Therex PT have recognized a series of specific exercise programs to allow the patient/client to return to their sport or hobby.

Under Sports and Injury Specific programs:

The Sports Specific Fitness Programs are complete exercise programs that add strength, flexibility, and endurance to the muscles that assist the upper and lower body and the core in all sports. However, we have combined certain flows of exercises that will optimally assist certain sports.

Extension-Based Lower Back Pain Progression is an evidence-based progression for patients who have sustained an extension-based lumbar injury.

The Return to Throwing Program is an evidence-based outline that allows athletes to return to throwing safely and progressively following a layoff or injury. 

Return to Running Program is an evidence-based outline that allows the athlete to return to running safely and progressively following a layoff or injury.

 

These programs have been formulated by physical therapists, physicians, athletic trainers, and strength coaches with extensive pro team, adolescent, and adult sports medicine experience.
