Welcome to Return to Running Program
This is an evidence-based outline to allow a athlete to return to running in a safe, progressive way. This has been formulated by physical therapists, athletic trainers, and strength coaches with extensive pro-team and adolescent/ adult sports medicine experience. Running has been shown in some studies to generate forces 5x's as great as walking. That is why after a bout of deconditioning or injury it is important to return to running in a progressive fashion.
There are two return to running programs:
1. Return to running - 20 minute interval running program
2. Return to running - 30 minute steady state running program
